⚡And now... for a moment many of you have been waiting for⚡
Below are the schedules for shows, talks and acts. Also attached are offers from the venues inside The Printworks.
These will be available on the day in print for each ticket holders and given as you arrive.
We are posting here so you can get a grasp of what is happening and where, so you can work out what you want to do and when.
While most shows and events are put on several times a day to ensure all ticket holders get to see the show once, some smaller shows are strictly first come first served.
This event is more like a festival in the way that we have put on more than any single person can actually do in a day. This is not to frustrate you, its to give you all the change to see many different things.
More popular shows like the FULL ORCHESTRA will be in high demand, so if you find its full, come back later. Early AM and last shows of the day always tend to be less busy.
While the event will seem really busy we can assure you that we are not even at 50% capacity of all combined venues.
So its just a case of finding your way around when you arrive.
Think of this like a theme park... if one ride is ultra busy... go find another and come back when less busy.
Please do not be upset if you can't see every show, this event is designed to have so much happening. It's simply not possible to see everything. Like a big music festival... there is always more on offer than you can actually do. This allows us to put on shows that some of you will find more fun than others.

There has been a huge amount of interest in DraigCon since it was first announced.
We've had people contacting us asking if we are building a full-size Hogwarts Castle or Diagon Alley. Sadly the answer is no, it is simply impossible to do this for one weekend, and since we are a fan event we can't use any copyrighted material belonging to Warner Brothers.
However, as you know, we are really excited to be using Chetham's Library as an additional location for the event. It is a medieval building and certainly looks the part of Hogwarts - it was even considered as a filming location! We really hope you fall in love with the place as much as we have done.
The Printworks is also very similar to Diagon Alley if you take the time to look up and around yourself at the architecture - it was designed to resemble a movie set. Once it is filled with magical market stalls and Harry Potter fans the atmosphere will be incredible.
We really hope that you will see the amount of effort and love that has gone into this event to make it much more than a regular convention. However, we do realise that for some visitors the hype and excitement have led to a few expecting much more than what we have advertised and is possible.
Finally, as convention-goers and Harry Potter fans ourselves, we believe that if you plan your day in advance and above all come with a good attitude… you will have a magical day… after all, the best part of any convention is the amazing attendees!
Magically Yours, DraigCon x
Hello Potter Heads,
SHOWS AND TALKS
DraigCon is like no other convention - there is so much going on!
We have a huge number of shows/talks taking place over the weekend. Each will last between 30 and 40 minutes and will repeat throughout the day.
-Behind the scenes talks
-Three separate magicians
Each show/talk will take place in a different venue with space for between 100 and 1,000 depending on the area. At any moment of the day, there will be over 3,500 spaces for customers to see a show! This does not include the market area, autograph areas or photo opportunities.
We currently have 12 separate locations, so with each show/talk being at least 30 minutes, there will be over 6 hours of entertainment every day!
PLEASE DON'T BE UPSET IF YOU CAN'T SEE EVERYTHING - IT ISN'T ACTUALLY POSSIBLE!!
We have planned so much entertainment so that there is something for everyone and no-one gets bored. It's the same concept as a large festival with multiple stages. Please plan your day carefully so that you can see everything you want to.
The capacity for each show/talk is dependent on the venue and entrance is strictly first come first served, if it's full then we advise you to come back later.
All timings will be announced during the week before the event.
Hello Potter Heads,
We've received lots of questions about accessibility over the last few months and now that all venues are confirmed we can give you more information. The event will take place in The Printworks (including tenant venues), Chetham's Library and Chetham's School.
The Printworks Pumpyard (main area) is on a single level so easily accessible. It will be busy with having trader tables, ticket desks and props, but with 3 entry points, navigation will be simple.
At the time of writing, all participating venues have elevators for those that need assistance. Should you wish to contact the individual venues for more information, they are:
Bierkeller Entertainment Complex
Hard Rock Café
Chetham's School is about 50 metres across the road, behind the National Football Museum - a 2 minute walk! We ask that you take care crossing the road as it is busy and also includes a tram line. We will have stewards present but they are only there to assist. Crossing safely is your responsibility.
Chetham's School is modern and has no accessibility issues.
Chetham's Library is a 15th century building so there are no elevators in the building. All DraigCon actors, shows and attractions are located on the ground floor for this reason.
Further information for visitors with medical conditions will be in the information pack, to be released next week.
See you there!
PS. Please do not use comments below to contact us as we cannot always monitor these.
See the map below for your journey from The Printworks to Chethams School Of Music, and back.
Bonnie Wright - Ginny Weasley - is unable to make either of our shows due to scheduling conflicts as she continues to forge a successful directing career in America. However, we are able to offer to you a choice of two 10x8 images signed personally by Bonnie in bold silver sharpie to add to your autograph collection.
We have a limited amount of each image available and each order will come with a lifetime COA from 237 Signings (our autograph room partner).
These images will cost £40.00 each shipped recorded delivery to a UK address. Overseas orders will be shipped tracked and insured for an extra premium.
Bonnie is an extremely rare Harry Potter guest and so for us to be able to offer you her signature direct is a great honour and shows our commitment to bringing the best of Potter to you.
To order and secure your signed Bonnie Wright image please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your choice of 'Bonnie A' or 'Bonnie B'.
Whilst we appreciate that £40 (especially when compared against our event list) is high, this is what Bonnie’s signature commands.
We have obtained (at cost) a number of autographs from Bonnie for those of you who expressed an interest in some of the main Potter cast.
We would rather offer you the opportunity to have one from a direct source than not offer it at all.
Good afternoon Potter Heads,
As promised, here is another bit of news for you.
As convention goers and fans ourselves we realise that costs while attending a convention can soon add up.
Many conventions are essentially giant markets where you pay to enter then every attraction/ opportunity is an additional cost.
Many first time convention goers do not realise that autographs and photo ops cost extra, but unfortunately this is the case at all cons.
But, we realise that to an autograph collector it can be an expensive task getting all actors autographs, so we have worked with the actors to bring you a fantastic rate for each guest.
Many of the autograph prices are less than half the price they normally charge, so with your two FREE autographs that we announced yesterday, we hope you can budget your day with us much better.
Every visitor will be entitled to two free autographs. When you arrive your ticket will be exchanged for a wristband and a pass. You MUST be in possession of both of these to gain access to the convention areas.
The pass will have 2 pen icons on the back. When you have chosen which guest you would like an autograph from you will find them and join the queue. At their table, one of the pen icons will be punched. When 2 have been punched then you have reached your allocation.
You can either bring a personal item such as a book, movie poster or wand or you can choose a photo from their table free of charge.
Each actor will have a limit to the number they sign each day, so first come first served!
There are enough free autograph signers to ensure every ticket holder will get their 2 autographs.
Please note. Only selected actors will be doing free autographs. These actors are;
No other actors will be signing free autographs.
Note - Guests appearances subject to work commitments, full T&Cs on website.
Max 4 Per Photo means 4 people allowed in each photo session.
We promised you some news this week... here is the first piece of news.
As fans and convention goers ourselves we try to ensure visitors get value for money. We have purposely not told you everything that is happening at the event as we don't want to ruin the surprises. When you purchased your ticket it clearly states the ticket gets you access to autograph areas, markets, talks and shows... we will provide this... and a little bit more.
All ticket holders will be entitled to TWO free autographs from actors, RRP for these autographs range between £10 and £15 each.
We decided this back in January but couldn't announce until we had all guests lined up.
Each day several actors will be giving visitors free autographs. You are allowed TWO per ticket. One you get a free 'graph' your pass will be punched with a hole so we can keep check on numbers (passes are handed out on the day when you redeem tickets).
Not all guests will be giving free autographs, so please check your programme carefully. Programmes will be handed out on the day. The autograph can be on your own item EG DVD, Poster, Book etc, or on an image provided by the actor.
Each free autograph actor has limit to the amount they can sign each day, so its first come first served. BUT.. don't worry... there are enough actors and free autographs to go around so every one has the opportunity to get their 2 free 'graphs'.
Please note - this is an additional offer we are providing, free of charge and was not part of the ticket price.
More news to come in a few days.
Organisers are not responsible for anyone who does not redeem this offer. Autographs must be collected by ticket holder on the day, we can not post out or put aside.
T&Cs apply and will be sent in information pack (to be sent the week before the convention).

With just 60 days until DraigCon July at The Printworks, we are working very hard to get everything in order for the event. A full schedule of times, information and such will be sent out to all ticket holders in the next few weeks. We will email all ticket holders to the email address provided when you purchased tickets.
As new E.U rules on data privacy come into effect this week we need to ensure we meet these regulations which means collecting a new database where customers (you) OPT IN for newsletters and marketing emails from us. So tomorrow evening we will email all ticket holders and people who have subscribed to our database asking you to sign up to a new database. This is the only way we can legally contact you with important news and information.
Please keep an eye out for the newsletter tomorrow, and if you have not received it by midnight tomorrow (00:00 23 May 2018) please check your junk folder. Failure to sign-up to the new database will mean you will miss out on information about the event and upcoming attractions.
You can sign up now on the home page of our website... be sure to click ‘OPT IN’ or we cannot contact you!
The DraigCon Team.
Hello Potter Heads,
While we try to do our best to keep posts upbeat and fun we do have a serious post, so please bear with us as we have a couple of points we wish to make clear, to help both fans and organisers with better use of their time.
Over the last 2 days we have received 76 different requests via emails, asking us questions that are already answered on our website. On a couple of occasions people have become irate as we have not answered them within a day. We are getting so close to the July event at The Printworks now, and are working tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the weekend, and to make the days as fun filled as possible. Alongside this we are working on Halloween Magic at Victoria Warehouse, plus Thronescon in June, so we are very busy right now working for you,
You may have also noticed we have not made too many announcements about what will be at the events and this is for a couple of reasons;
1 – We are still locking down attractions and such, and until they are firmly in place we will not announce them.
2 – We do not want to spoil the surprises. As organisers our job is to ensure you get what you paid for, however, we are working hard to ensure that you get much more than we promised and that we can deliver a fun packed day for all.
Most conventions tend to be large areas with actors, market stalls and perhaps a stage for panels and Q&As. We are planning to put on so many different elements and attractions to keep you entertained throughout the day.
We have also learned that some people are expecting full sized movie sets to be at the convention; this is not true and not possible. We were once asked if it is true that we are building a full size Hogwarts castle. While this would be very exciting, its simply impossible for us to do.
Finally, we have several actors from the films series attending the conventions, and while these actors do all they can to assure they attend the event, on occasion they may have to cancel and/ or change their appearances. We realise that can be upsetting, and both organisers and actors do all we can to avoid this. But it is very common for this to occur at conventions, due to the very nature of how actors jobs work. Fortunately we have not had any major changes but one guest has had to change their appearance dates.
We urge people to check the website here for information as it is the only place we can feature all T&Cs/FAQs, updates and such, that is accessible to all. Only 60% of the people who hold tickets follow us on social media so keeping everyone updated is a task. Facebook posts, newsletters, tweets, and Instagram can be missed by many.
Please bare with us, and perhaps we can work together to avoid the use of angry emojis.
Magically Yours, DraigCon
